Know Your Rights Education

Wage theft claims support, wage monitoring and public education for domestic workers including the Know-your-rights education program for employees and employers:

Our workers’ rights education is our core program and is the foundation for all the initiatives, activities, educational sessions, and training that take place at CWC.  We have recovered thousands of dollars in restitution for workers, by direct mediation, through complaint referrals to state and federal labor authorities, or in small claims courts. If you worked and didn’t get paid, call us at (203) 612-4367 or email us at info@ctworkercenter.org

Nanny Certification Program

We connect people to training on their rights at work, with an emphasis on domestic workers’ rights and wage-and-hour-rights. Our leadership ladder continues for more active members with access to training at the national level through the National Domestic Workers’ Alliance and safety and health OSHA training. Workers can become leaders of our center and have opportunities to become trainers and community outreach workers.
We provide Leadership development for domestic workers through the Nanny certification program. We partnered with We Rise to provide a peer and organizing training program designed to transform the domestic work industry. The training offers workers the ability to negotiate higher wages, raise the working standards and improve their working conditions.
